Prayer Room

Welcome to the Prayer Room

Here at PWGM, we strongly believe that the word of God can solve every problem in our lives.  For this to happen, we must believe and apply the word of God.  We do this in prayer.  During a discussion with a friend, I discovered that many believers know they should pray and they think about it, they talk about it, they want to do it but they do not know how to do it or where to start from!  Some worry that their prayers are not answered because they have not prayed as they should.  Whether you find it challenging to pray to God or you already know how to pray, it is my prayer that the Lord Jesus will teach you something new as you visit the Prayer Room today.  Please visit our Contact Page and send us your questions and or comments on prayer.  We would also love to receive your prayer requests so we can pray with you.

Remember the word of God says:

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.  For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

You are not alone.  Send in your prayer requests today and let us pray with you.

PRAYING THE WORD OF GOD

As a parent, I beam with pride and joy when I hear my children bragging about what I promised them and I do everything I can to ensure that I keep my promise to them.  The Almighty God does the same with us.  He delights to hear us speak and affirm His words and it is his joy and pleasure to fulfill it (Luke 12:32).  Knowing that God is all powerful and knowing that He is watching over His word to ensure that it comes to pass, and knowing that His words are good for us, it makes sense for us to speak His words to him.  When we pray the word of God, we are saying to Him: “I know what you said about me; I believe it, I confess and affirm it and trust you to perform it for me.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth:  for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” (Psalm 138:2)

With this verse of scripture in mind, how is it possible for anyone to have respect for the Name of God and not His word?  Perhaps knowing that man may choose to revere His name only, God inspired the Psalmist to write the second part of this verse, declaring that God has magnified (enlarge, increase the apparent size) his word above his name.  If God has this high regard for his word, then we who worship and serve him ought to do the same.

Have you ever made a promise to a little child?  If you have, then you know the meaning of persistence.  The child will come after you until you make good on that promise.  If you know and believe that God is able to fulfill his word, then you will give him no rest until he has fulfilled it.  Unlike us, God is not interested in reneging on any of his word and he has no reason to.  All the earth belongs to him and he has the power to say it and do it!  So what are we waiting for?  Let’s go ahead and remind God of his promises to us and watch him bring them to pass.

CONFESSING THE WORD OF GOD

Confessing the word of God again and again may seem like using vain repetitive words in prayer, the very thing that Jesus said not to do (Matthew 6:7-8).  But we are not talking about confessing our own word, but the word of God.  What’s the difference?

Our words may change based on how we feel, where we are, what we see and hear and what we are doing.  The word of God however, never changes; it remains the same forever (Isaiah 40:8).  In which case, the word that healed the lame man in Acts 3 is the same that heals the lame today and will be the word that will heal the lame a hundred years form today.  The Bible says “Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).  Hallelujah!

The first step in confessing the word of God is, knowing the word of God.  John 8:32 says “…and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Every situation that was, is and will ever be on earth has a solution in the word of God written in the Bible.  When you discover the solution to your situation, read it, learn it and speak it again and again.  The Bible says that “Jesus left them, went away and prayed the third time, saying the same words” (Matthew 26:44).

He did this I think not because God didn’t hear him the first time but because of the challenge and the deep earnestness of his soul. Start confessing the word of God today and you will surely prevail in all things in Jesus name
